Dr. Fraulein Douglass
Dr. Fraulein Douglass obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and graduated with honors in the Philippines. She practiced small animal medicine for 7 years and moved to Texas in 2009 to manage an emergency facility and worked in the veterinary field for 10 years. She then completed her Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) Program in 2018. She provided care in a small animal clinic in Katy before deciding to make her dream of opening her own practice become a reality. Dr. Douglass is excited serving and providing loving care to pets in the Richmond and Katy communities. Her special interests are diagnostics and critical care medicine. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with family and her 3 rescued furbabies— Abby, Parsley, and Basil.
Dr. Laurel Douglass
Dr. Laurel Douglass grew up in Houston Memorial area and has always been surrounded by many family pets, including dogs, cats, and horses. She showed Saddlebred horses during her teenage years, gaining valuable life lessons from the horses she cared for.
Dr. Douglass attended Texas Christian University directly after completing Memorial High school. Upon graduating with a BS of Business, she served seven years as a Captain in the United States Army Corps of Engineers. She became invested in medicine in 1991 after joining Pfizer Pharmaceuticals as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative. Dr. Douglass returned to her love of animals in 1991 and dedicated her life to to helping to heal dogs and cats and assist their owners of Indiana and Houston. She attended Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine to obtain her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Douglass moved back to Texas in 2004 and has been serving the Greater Houston community as a veterinarian.
Dr. Douglass has a special interest in emergency medicine. She served as an Emergency Veterinarian for 11 years before returning to day practice. She has completed extensive training in companion animal dentistry with Dr. Brett Beckmann. She has a special interest in management and leadership skills and is more apt to read business books than anything else. She is always implementing new ideas and researching the latest technology available in order to keep the clinic up-to-date.
Dr. Douglass is passionate about her work as a veterinarian, dedicating time and effort to ensure all of her patients receive the best care available. When the doctor is not working she loves to hike, exercise or read.
